Members of the SEBKİDER Executive Board visited the Automotive Industry Exporters Association (OİB), which operates under the Uludağ Exporters Associations in Bursa On November 18, 2025. During the visit, information was provided to Mr. Baran ÇELİK, President of the Automotive Industry Exporters Association, regarding tax advantages in free zones, services offered, investment opportunities, and current developments. The visit included an exchange of views on cooperation with the automotive sector in free zones and future projects. The Automotive Industry Exporters Association represents exporters operating in the automotive and related industries in Türkiye. As of the end of 2024, with over 9,500 active members and $32.3 billion in exports, OIB is the representative of the automotive industry, which is the locomotive of the country’s exports.
As part of the SEBKİDER Delegation’s visit to Bursa, the Bursa Free Zone, which operates in Gemlik, was also visited. During the visit, hosted by Ahmet ÖZTÜRK, General Manager of Bursa Free Zone Founding and Operating Company Inc. (BUSEB), information was gathered about BUSEB’s activities and infrastructure capabilities, and views were exchanged on disseminating best practices among free zones. The Bursa Free Zone, the only free zone in the South Marmara Region of Türkiye, hosts 92 companies, 37 of which are foreign-owned, and provides employment for more than 13,000 people within the companies operating in the zone.
